So Here's the Plan, Stan

A few weeks ago, I followed a magical account on instagram. @Kayla_Itsines. She's a Bikini Body Personal Trainer, only 23 and from Australia.
Yes, she's real. She posts multiple times a day on insta, so she was constantly popping up on my feed.  However, instead of hating her (toned) guts, she was a huge inspiration to me. She has released two eBooks so far, a nutrition guide and Bikini Body Training Guide. They are available to purchase on her website www.kaylaitsines.com.au/. Besides her amazing body, what really got me paying attention to these guides were the before and after pictures she posts of her clients. They all have pretty unbelievable results! You can check them out on her website and instagram, but a few that stuck out to me are these:

The girls in these pictures were not, by any means, "fat" before. Nor are they "too skinny" now. They are FIT and TONED. Kayla emphasizes these ideas. There is a huge difference between being skinny and being fit and healthy.

You can read about her Bikini Body Training Guide- Workouts, which I purchased, here: http://www.kaylaitsines.com.au/bikini-body-guides/. But basically it has been described as a "literally kickass" 12-week program, focused on fat-burining resistance and cardio training. Today was Day 1, and my ass has been pretty kicked already! We'll see how the next 11 weeks and 6 days go.

Hello

First thing's first, my name is Sarah, formerly known as "theoutfitters08" on YouTube.  I used to post beauty and fashion videos for about three years, starting the summer before my freshman year of high school.  I was an extremely active dancer my entire life, up until my senior year of high school.  I was always very thin.  I was one of those people who could eat anything, whenever I wanted and how ever much I wanted, all the time.  Then that all changed.

I graduated from high school and moved away to college. Ahh, dorm life.  But a girl like me with an impossibly fast metabolism who had never stepped into a gym a day in her life couldn't fall victim to the infamous "freshman fifteen" right?  Ha, wrong. Very wrong.

I no longer was forced to do constant cardio for 8 hours a week.  I no longer had relatively set meal times.  I had little to no regularity in my life at all, in fact.  Daddy no longer set dinner in front of me at 5:30 PM and no longer cleaned it up after me.  I lived on the dining hall pizza bar, omelets and acai bowls and microwave "dinners."

So after 8 months of slowly accumulating exactly fifteen pounds and beginning to not fit into my jeans, I began to be unhappy with my body for the first time in my eighteen years.  I always used to think girls were CRAZY for picking on their bodies, they all looked perfectly fine to me.  But I get it now.  Most girls will most likely never be happy with their bodies, no matter what they look like.  I tried to go to the gym, but whether I went or not I pretty much stayed at the same weight, so what was the point?

I finally decided to kick this in the bud.  Now its summer, and I have little to do besides study for my online summer class and the occasional catering job, so why not do what will make me happy and get back to the body I had never given a second thought about.
